DESIGN &

The first step, of course, is to define carefully the expectations and
goals of the Interactive Media project. What’s it supposed to do and how?
What reaction is it intended to solicit from the user, and what tactics
are we going to employ to ensure that it happens? How can this project be
a relationship-builder, and not just a give-away? How will the software be
promoted, produced, packaged, and delivered, and how will we follow up to
ensure the response we desire from the customer?
Once we know what we’re out to accomplish, we need to gather all the
content - words, pictures, video, audio, forms and functions. We need to
create an outline and flowchart of the project to be sure we stay on
target, that it holds together, and that the information is presented
logically. We also want to be sure that the user’s experience will be a
great one, while at the same time we accomplish our objectives. Finally,
we need to be sure that we keep within the image of your organization and
that the piece will be appropriate and fit in with the other marketing you
do.
PUBLICATION &
DISTRIBUTION:
Once we’ve authored a winning interactive experience for you and your
target audience, its time to go to the production phase. There are a
number of “delivery” options - CD-ROM, Mini-CD, Business-Card CDs, DVD, or
Internet distribution.
